Our Story
Proprietors Nicky Goudberg and Tony Pridham fell in love with the maze and gardens...
...when they first visited in 2019. They bought the property 6 months later and did a crash course in hedging!
Set up in 2003 by the original owners Dean and Tracey Shipley to realise their dream of owning a maze, the property was once a bare paddock. Over the years the Shipleys planted hedges, grew topiaries and raised their kids here.
Nicky and Tony, also avid gardeners, are continuing their legacy…. further developing these beautiful gardens to provide a relaxing place for locals and visitors to visit and enjoy.
We are an artist's community...
The Studio Cafe is a licensed café serving paddock-to-plate food made here using our own produce. The cafe is also an exhibition space for our resident artists - displaying drawings and textile works. Additionally our bespoke art gallery is where you can watch Tony Pridham at work at his easel. Tony is a world-renowned artist, having exhibited globally and is represented in many Australian and overseas collections. As Sidney Nolan’s nephew, Tony knows his way around a paint-brush!
So come and meet us, enjoy the changing colours and moods of the garden, have a coffee or a wine while the kids hunt for gnomes and fairies, and let us be part of your next High Country adventure …..
